Malaysian soils are potentially productive if properly treated and managed. Due to their physical, chemical, and biological limitations, some of these soils are left idle. It is possible to make these problem soils productive but it requires high technological inputs. With the current research being conducted by some research and academic institutions in Malaysia, it is found that these soils have potential for agricultural development.
This conference will provide an excellent platform for those who are involved in agriculture specifically the soil scientists, planters, and agro-based entrepreneurs to present new findings, exchange ideas and share experiences on various approaches on farming and soil management. The application of modern tools in agriculture is specially highlighted.
