Call for papers

We invite oral and poster papers in the following fields:

• Soil chemistry
• Soil physics
• Soil microbiology & biochemistry
• Soil conservation & management
• Soil fertility and plant nutrition
• Soil genesis & classification
• Land use & management
• Land/soil information system
• Site-specific soil/crop management
• New techniques for soil/crop improvement
• Soil remediation and reclamation
• Soils in urban ecosystems

Deadline

For those interested in presenting a paper, kindly submit an Extended Abstract (EA) not exceeding 4 pages before February 28, 2006.

Author Instructions

The EA should include title, name and address of author(s), introduction, methodology, summary of findings, conclusion, and references.

The EA should be prepared using Microsoft Word with the following specifications: A4-size paper (25 mm margins on all sides), single-spaced typeface, and Arial font (size 11). Illustrations (graph, table, plate) must be prepared outside the main body of text. Posters will be accepted for display in A1 size (594 x 841 mm; 24 x 33 in). At the time of submission, all EAs must be camera-ready.

Publication and Award

Suitable papers from the conference will be considered for publication in the Malaysian Journal of Soil Science (MJSS). There will also be a 'Best Poster Award’ competition.
